FREE dove soap at walgreens

|
i'm glad i didn't make my walgreens trip last night, because i've got another thing to add to my list!

walgreens register rewards program is a little "mysterious" to say the least; it isn't heavily advertised like cvs easycare is.
i found out about this one from hip2save's blog!

$10 in register rewards for buying 8 select dove products!

buy 8 dove single bars soaps (priced about $1.50 or so)
use the $.99 in ad coupon
pay $7.92
get back a $10 register reward
total=FREE plus $2 overage!

** coupon says limit 3.

hip2save says:

"This is another YMMV (Your mileage may vary type situation). Using one in ad coupon WILL make all 8 of them .99. However, the cashier you get may limit you to 3 at the .99 price. Maybe I've been lucky, but I have never had a cashier do this.

If they do, though, the deal will still be pretty great:

Buy 3 for .99
Buy 5 for $1.59
Total=$10.92
Plus get back a $10RR
Final cost 8 bars for ONLY .92!"

**this promotion runs the entire month of march. check out all the current monthly register reward deals here at hip2save.

how it began

|
this has all stemmed from a love of shopping combined with a massive amount of debt. the two don't mix well! :)

i wasn't getting anywhere. yeah, i had spending cash, but i was just going in circles with my debt.. month after month with no progress.

so i started a financial blog... i wanted to look back on how i've spent my money and how far i'm progressing on my load of debt each week, each month, and each year.

and i have to save money every way i can. i recently found a huge couponing community existed that i knew nothing about!
the world of coupons is truly amazing. i've saved a lot and i've also been able to get some great new products that i otherwise wouldn't have ever spent the money on.

so, because champaign county has regional grocery stores (county market, meijer & schnucks, etc.), i thought i'd begin a site that might help all of those who live in champaign county and need to save a buck on those indispensable groceries and toiletries.

i try to keep the coupons to online-only "printables" although i do sneak a few newspaper coupons in there every so often. newspaper insert coupons are also VERY regional (unfortunately, ours seem to be worse than others!), so that is another reason i felt the need to have a locally-based site. (all newspaper coupons posted on here are ones available from the news-gazette)

i know there are many others out there going through the same thing as i am. i hope this site will be an inspiration to let them know it can be FUN TO SAVE!

now.... let's save!
