my tips

|
--be on the lookout for gift card coupons for transferring a prescription. if you find 'em, snag 'em! my $25 cvs card has lasted for almost 3 months and still has money on it.

--find an organization system that works for you. here is mine. i used an old photo album and printed tabs that i laminated, cut out, and taped into my album.

--don't rush out on sunday. i usually do my shopping on tuesday or wednesday. items are ususally still there and i've had time to look for more deals i might have missed. this will prevent that "oh crap i don't want to get back out" moment.

--be patient with couponing. i'm getting better and better at it each week. i was discouraged at first when i spent too much on things i didn't need at kmart's super double coupon day.

--don't rush out and use a high-value coupon. wait for it to go on sale.. because it probably will.

--stockpile when there's a good deal on something you use regularly. buy as much as you can afford (diapers, toilet paper, toothpaste, cereal...)

--always get the sunday paper and you might also want to subscribe to all you magazine found at wal-mart. i haven't done this yet, but after looking at this month's coupons, i probably will.

--if you have to throw a coupon away because it expires, don't be sad. it happens to everyone.
